Praia do Forte and The T.A.M.A.R Project

This was when I went to the Praia do Forte and the T.A.M.A.R Project being an abbreviation of Tartarugas Marinhas. The T.A.M.A.R Project is a non-profit conservation effort to prevent the sea turtle from going extinct on the Brazilian shoreline. As you can see in the pictures I had gone with all the exchange students who were in my city that I lived in as well as my host mother, host brother, and the host mother and brother of another exchange student.

Festa do Bonfim

 The Festa do Bofim is a religious celebration in Salvador Bahia "Which is about a 45 min ride in the car to get to from where I live". I ended  up going on 1/15/15 with two other exchange students "Lena and David" and the uncle of Lena who was the one who took us. We ended up walking from the Lacerda Elevator to the Igreja do Nosso Senhor do Bonfim which is about a 6.6 Km walk but, felt a lot longer with the crowd you see in the pictures. There were a bunch of street vendors who sold novelties to drinks and food and a lot of bands playing on the street.  Please keep in mind that I don't take as many photos at these events because of the fear of theft of my camera.
